Extremely honored to announce the 2025 Chris Strickland Resilience award recipient to Nicholas.
We call it the “Resilience Award” but a more appropriate name is listed on the check “THE BADASS AWARD” That’s who both Chris and Nicholas are!!!
Nicholas was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer (Neuroblastoma) two weeks before his 2nd birthday. During the last 16 years, he has faced many obstacles that have tried to test his limits & patience. Nicholas has endured about a dozen or more surgeries & has taken countless tests, medications & more. Although these treatments have saved his life, Nicholas has been dealing with the long-term side effects that comes with it.
He now has a drain in his skull for the rest of his life. He developed high frequency hearing loss, & lesions on his brain & liver. Nicholas struggles with endocrine & growth hormone deficiencies along with restricted lung function. He even developed 2 different types of cancer in his thyroid that required surgery.
Currently, Nicholas continues to undergo a series of testing every year with different doctors to ensure he remains cancer free. His determination to never give up & keep digging only gets stronger as he gets older.
So honored that Chris chose Nicholas for this Award.
